Core coursework: financial accounting, cost accounting, auditing, taxation, and business law. Running Creatify alongside full-time studies — applying classroom theory directly to real-world client books and financial reporting.
AFA — Affiliate Financial Accountant
Started the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) pathway in 2023. Earned the AFA designation after completing 12 papers — a recognized professional accounting credential. Now at 17 papers and continuing toward full CMA certification. Covers financial planning, performance management, cost accounting, and professional ethics.
Chess
A quiet obsession. Not because of winning — because every move has consequences. It teaches patience in a world that rewards speed. Client problem-solving feels the same: understand the position, see what's hidden, think a few moves ahead.
Writing
Mostly private — notes, thoughts, lines inspired by Urdu poetry. Not for followers or algorithms. Writing slows life down long enough to understand it. In a world where everyone wants to be heard, I've found value in simply paying attention.
Islamic History
Genuinely fascinated — not just the events, but the ideas. The golden age of the Islamic world, the House of Wisdom in Baghdad, how knowledge traveled through manuscripts and trade routes. It's the kind of history that makes you think differently about the present.
Design
I notice when something is visually intentional good typography, thoughtful layout, a well-built page. This is why I enjoy the frontend side of Shopify work: I'm not just making things functional, I want them to feel right. Design is what separates a store from an experience.
